Different But Equally Important

So here's a fun fact about your brain; it has both gray and white matter in it. Each play a very different but equally important role. Gray matter processes information, one thing at a time. White matter represents the connections or relationships between the information. Men generally have about 6 times more gray matter in their brains than women do. And women have approximately 10 times as much white matter as men do. I love learning about the brain, so this is very fascinating to me. Understanding this psychology can make it easier to understand the thinking process of others, specifically of the opposite sex. I have a difficult time switching on or off my emotions in different settings, things that happen in my social life will almost always affect my life at school or at work. And because of that, I am amazed by the way men can focus completely on one thing at a time. Obviously, all men are different, as are all women. But I've often observed that men tend to be better at analyzing situations logically. I have also noticed that many men have an incredible sense of direction.
Likewise, women have their own set of strengths. Our ability to recognize connections between information is helpful in so many ways. Women can usually multitask better. This ability also proves helpful in motherhood. A mother can clearly see connections between what is happening with her child at school, with their friends, and how they act at home. At times, it can surely be difficult for two people who think is such different ways to come to a consensus and be able to accomplish something together. The beautiful thing though, is that it works. Men and women are not meant to think exactly the same, in fact, if we did, I know we would accomplish a lot less. In any team or partnership, it is crucial to have several opinions and perspectives. I think these factors we've developed in teamwork are patterned after the family. The family is the first and the ultimate team and the structure therein is divinely designed.
In The Bible (1 Corinthians 11:11), we read that, " . . . neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man in the Lord." There are so many opinions that contradict this in today's world. It is not weak for a woman to believe that she needs a man. It is ordained of God. And men need women just as much as women need men. We are meant to complete one another, uplift one another, and strengthen one another because we each have such different strengths. Most importantly, we are meant to raise families together. What greater calling is there than to bring children into this world and teach them of God and teach them of love? That being said, I deeply respect those who want to have families but can't because of their situation. Luckily we have a loving Heavenly Father who we can trust to have a perfect plan for us each individually. And in short, God put both men and women on this earth. And each play a very different but equally important role.
